The BWI new Manufacturing & Workspace transformation & design process is a fantastic example of
how early engagement of staff in the design process can equal even better outcomes and a smoother
overall project process with less resistance from staff to the enormous change that is about to happen. Our CIA Designs Strategy Leader, Crystel White, conducted 4 intensely engaging workshops with the business “champions” to uncover anything and everything that could be. This included the SWOT analysis, staff surveys, “if anything was possible” sessions & also DILO ( Day In The Life Of) Studies. Through this high engagement process (even before the design had begun) the staff from all parts of the organisation felt heard, engaged, considered & some amazing ideas eventuated. The design then evolved from there into a complete site transformation. The new space solution has completely transformed the way BWI welcome visitors and interact with
one another across all parts of the BWI community
